Alexandrian Greeks:
A voyage in time

2012

Exhibition's poster in english.jpg

A photography exhibition organized in collaboration with the members of the Greek community, in an attempt to explore how Alexandrians wanted their community to be represented and what sets of stories they wanted to tell about the past and the present.

The exhibition presented the everyday life of the Greek Alexandrians, encopassing a broad period from the beyday of the community until today. The majority of photographs came from their private collections and were presented to the public for the very first time. The exhibition was complemented by a rich variety of archival material (ranging from voice clips to film fottage), as well as by experimental projects made by the younger members of the Greek community, the students of Averofeio High School.
